Srinagar, Jan 01 (KNO): On the New Year—2025, Mahant Deependra Giri, the custodian of the holy mace of the Amarnath Yatra and a revered spiritual teacher has highlighted the importance of living in the present and embracing life with passion and awareness.
As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in his New Year message, Mahant Giri urged people to let go of past regrets and focus on the present moment. “The past has passed away, and the future is yet to come. The best moment you have is the present moment. If you carry regrets from the past, let them go today, as there’s no way to travel back in time and fix them,” he said.
He highlighted the importance of accepting life’s uncontrollable aspects, stating, “There are many things in life beyond our control. While you cannot add days to your life, you can always add life to your days by living in the present with awareness.”
Encouraging individuals to approach life with intensity and passion, Mahant Giri said, “Life doesn’t happen to those with a lukewarm attitude. Embrace life with intense passion to truly feel alive.”
He also advised integrating physical activity, meditation, self-study (swadhyay), and introspection (cha) into daily routines, beginning with the New Year—(KNO)
